Additional Support Package

TravelWise Merseyside is offering organisations the opportunity to receive additional support for their travel plan.  A new pilot project provides the expert services of a consultant for one year to work with you in progressing your travel plan.  The consultancy time can be used for a variety of tasks; making a business case for your senior management, implementing initiatives, writing an action plan or setting up a steering group.  You may already have an adopted travel plan or be at the beginning of the process of putting your travel plan together.

Your nominated TravelWise officer will continue to work with you in an advisory capacity to guide the work of yourself and the consultant in implementing your travel plan.

For applications to be considered, organisations must satisfy the following:

· Be a member of the Wise Moves Club
· Be based in Merseyside
· Have the support of a senior manager
· Provide a named resource who will take forward the travel plan and match the consultant's time of 3 days in the first month and one day per month for the duration of the project
· Be able to start in February 2008 and commit for a 12 month period

In addition to this, applicants must either:

· Have at least 150 employees employed at each site (this can include multiple organisations for example business parks); or
· Attract more than 4,000 visitors a month

Organisations that have developed their travel plan to meet a condition of planning or Section 106 Agreement can apply provided a full Travel Plan has been approved by the Local Authority.

Those not eligible for support include schools, nurseries and residential developments. Organisations that have not yet submitted a full travel plan for approval by the Local Authority as part of their planning condition are also ineligible.

Closing date of receipt of applications is Friday 18 January 2008.
