Wildflower Best Practice Guide
The Local Transport Plan (LTP) Environment and Sustainability Group, a sub-group of the Merseyside Transport Partnership (MTP), has unveiled a new guide for local authorities to encourage the use of wildflowers in transport developments in Merseyside. The Wildflower Best Practise Guide aims to improve the biodiversity value of LTP projects but has many additional benefits as well.
The guide covers all aspects of creating a wildflower area from choosing a site, assessing the conditions and suitable species to management implications and potential benefits as well as case-study examples.
