FREE Cycle Training for Children and Young People

We are delighted to be working with BikeRight to offer National Standard on-road cycle training to young people and children in Merseyside through our cycle training programme - Bikeability.

Organised through schools, Year 5, 6 and 7 pupils are offered Level 2 training  which equips children with important skills to help them cycle on quiet roads. Older pupils in High schools are offered Level 3 training which builds on level 2, and is more advanced giving skills in dealing with busier roads and roundabouts.

Training is free and offered to every school in Merseyside including SENs so ask at your school to see if they take part. If not, your child's school can find out more from TravelWise by emailing info@letstravelwise.org or by ringing 0151 330 1290

If you are over 16 and not in school you can take part through our adult Freewheeling programme, click here for details.

If you are a parent or carer, click here for advice on Cycling with Children to make the most of your child's new skills or take up our free adult training offer!
