As part of TravelWise Week 2009, TravelWise Merseyside coordinated a session with Liverpool’s Youth Parliament, which took place on Wednesday 23rd September 2009 at Liverpool Town Hall. Issues surrounding sustainable travel were debated by over 100 Secondary school pupils. Following this the Youth Parliament put forward a direct motion to the City Council regarding a scheme to allow pupils who currently receive a bus pass the option of swapping this for a bicycle.
