If you live in Merseyside and have the offer of work, you could be eligible to join the Scooter Commuter Scheme. The scheme offers a 50cc scooter for six months to help you take up opportunities of employment that would be difficult to get to by public transport. You will get free Compulsory Basic Training plus an advanced post CBT road safety course and be provided with fully comprehensive insurance, breakdown cover, protective equipment and the support of a co-ordinator throughout the term, in exchange for a small weekly fee of £10.
You are advised to take out your own personal insurance.
