14th May 2008 - Responding to the impacts of climate change
The meeting considered the practicalities of adapting to a changing climate.
Erik Bichard, Professor of Regeneration and Sustainable Development at the University of Salford chaired the forum.
The speakers were;
- Paul Needham, North West Climate Change Unit & Environment
Agency, who highlighted the challanges facing the north west
of England from climate change.
- Frank Whiteford, Associate Director of Health Service
Resilience, NHS Northwest, who explained how the health sector can
be apdated to meet climate change.
- Julie Dawber, Regional Resilience Team, Government Office North West, who explained how we can prepare for the consequences of Climate Change.
