You can rely on your feet to get you where you want to be. Walking for short trips is a very wise move - healthy, ready to go when you are and free.

The Merseyside Local Transport Plan partners are working hard to make walking around Merseyside easy and enjoyable. This includes improvements to public spaces and pavements as well as signposts and better provision for disabled people. You can find out more about our plans in the Pedestrian Strategy .

Free guided bike rides and bike maintenance sessions launched in St Helens

People in St Helens are being encouraged to get back on their bikes this year, thanks to a new scheme offering all residents free bike maintenance sessions and the opportunity to take part in a series of guided bike rides.
